While much of the focus at E3 this year was on the games being shown off inside the Los Angeles Convention Center, a group of gamers outside was focused on playing games to set a new world record.
32 gamers set out on a mission Tuesday to set the new world record for playing video games on tablets — and 26 actually made it through the contest to win the honor, lasting 26 hours and 2 seconds.
Each contestant was given a Galaxy Tab 8.9 to compete with in the competition, and was assigned one game that they were required to play for the duration of the contest. Games were selected by the judges via random draw, so contestants had no control over what they played.
